Peter Zaffino to lead Palantir’s financial services growth from Jan. 15, 2027
Palantir said Zaffino’s role will cover insurance, banking, asset management, and private equity, as GNP Seguros becomes its first announced commercial customer in Latin America.
Palantir Technologies has appointed Peter Zaffino, a former CEO and executive chairman of AIG, as its Global Head of Financial Services, effective January 15, 2027.
Palantir said Zaffino will lead its financial services growth strategy across insurance, banking, asset management, private equity, and other financial institutions, bringing more than three decades of experience in financial services and insurance leadership.
The company also highlighted its expanding insurance footprint through an enterprise agreement with Mexico’s GNP Seguros, calling the insurer its first publicly announced commercial customer in Latin America.
Under the GNP Seguros partnership, Syndicate 2479 is set to commence underwriting $300 million of premium managed by AIG, and the update follows a prior $50 million agreement in 2023.
