HDI Global US appoints Uwe Schoberth chief commercial officer
Schoberth will oversee distribution and broker management, as the insurer pushes its US strategic repositioning.
HDI Global US appointed Uwe Schoberth as chief commercial officer, a leadership change aimed at advancing the company’s strategic repositioning in the United States, according to Risk & Insurance.
Schoberth will report to CEO Shadi Albert and lead Distribution & Broker Management and Marketing & Communications. The role focuses on strengthening broker and client relationships and advancing commercial initiatives designed to support sustainable, profitable growth.
The appointment brings more than 30 years of experience in distribution strategy and market development, with prior senior roles at Canopius Group, Joyn Insurance, Lloyd’s of London, QBE Insurance, and XL Group.
In a related industry segment, Risk & Insurance also notes that AM Best says most insurance companies expect significant AI-driven change within three years, and highlights how rapid AI evolution is shifting approaches to cyber risk, including the need for layered resilience beyond preventative controls.
