ETH/USD trades in range as Ethereum ETF inflows cool

Spot Ethereum ETF inflows fell to $218.4 million in the week ending 5 September 2026, down from $824.4 million the prior week.

Capital inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs totaled $986.9 million in the week ending 5 September 2026, while spot Ethereum ETFs brought in $218.4 million, down from $824.4 million the previous week, a roughly 74% drop, according to Action Forex.

On the network side, Ethereum is preparing for the Gl Amsterdam upgrade, expected to launch on the mainnet in Q4 2026, though an exact date has not been confirmed. The upgrade is described as a step to further scale the network and improve the efficiency of transaction and data processing.

In technical analysis, Action Forex points to a four-hour ETH/USD uptrend that began with a high-volume impulse in the second half of August. An ascending wedge formed near the top of the move, with a late-August attempt to break down from the wedge failing, after which price returned to the wedge boundaries and has since consolidated.

The same analysis places ETH/USD moving between the Point of Control at $2,484 and the upper profile boundary at $2,521, with a red resistance area near $2,566 and green support near $2,368 that would only be reachable after a break through the lower boundary at $2,428. The RSI and moving averages are described as sitting below the neutral zone ceiling and trying to turn higher as the consolidation continues.
