Raymond shares surge to 52-week high ahead of board fundraise

Raymond’s board meeting on 8 September will consider issuing equity shares and/or convertible securities and warrants to raise funds.

Raymond shares climbed more than 12% to a fresh 52-week high of ₹869.05 in intraday trading on 8 September, extending a two-session winning streak.

The stock opened at ₹772.30 versus a prior close of ₹772.80 and rose 12.45% to its one-year high, as investors positioned ahead of an announced board meeting outcome on a proposed fundraise.

In an exchange filing dated 3 September, Raymond said the board will meet to consider and evaluate a proposal to raise funds through issuing equity shares and/or convertible securities and warrants, on a rights or preferential basis, or other eligible modes, subject to regulatory and statutory approvals.

The report also cited Raymond’s Q1FY27 performance, with total income at ₹628 crore, up 13% year-on-year, and EBITDA up 14% year-on-year to ₹100 crore, while margins expanded 20 basis points to 15.9%.
