Knack launches small business insurance platform for multi-carrier quotes

Knack Insurance, a Pennsylvania-based insurance agency founded by CEO John Baxter and CTO Mike McIntire, has launched a small business insurance platform that lets owners request quotes from multiple carriers in one workflow. The process includes coverage and pricing comparisons, carrier-specific questions and attestations, and access to policy documents through an online account, with an AI assistant called Kytt that explains steps and routes users to the company’s licensed team when advice is needed.
The platform’s quoting journey runs through business details, desired coverage, locations, carrier questions, attestations, quotes, and payment, according to screenshots described in the coverage. Carriers referenced in the flow include Coterie, with Chubb and Travelers shown as carriers that may review and decline individual submissions.
When a user does not receive a quote, the platform allows them to revise their answers or contact Knack for help. Knack is currently licensed in 32 jurisdictions for property and casualty insurance, with applications pending in 19 additional states.
