Altman Living exec Tim Peterson becomes CIO at White Oak Development
Peterson left BBX Capital’s Altman Living after more than 20 years, joining a developer that is preparing a 297-unit project funded by a $66.6M mortgage from PNC Bank.
Tim Peterson has left Altman Living, the multifamily and affordable housing subsidiary of BBX Capital, to take a new role as chief investment officer at Coral Springs-based White Oak Development, Bisnow reports.
The outlet says Peterson spent more than 20 years at Altman Living in various executive positions, including chief strategy officer in 2024, and is still listed on the Altman Living website as responsible for strategic growth initiatives and overseeing asset management and disposition functions.
Bisnow also notes that Altman Living is an operating platform under The Altman Cos., which Fort Lauderdale-based BBX Capital bought in 2023 from founder Joel Altman, with Altman reporting that it has developed more than 28,000 apartments across the U.S. and has projects underway in North Miami, Boca Raton and South Dade.
White Oak Development, founded in 2011 and rebranded in 2022, has built more than 4,500 units, and Bisnow reports it is gearing up for a 297-unit apartment project within Plantation Walk, a 27-acre mixed-use development in Broward County that is backed by a $66.6M mortgage from PNC Bank signed in March.
