AmTrustRE renovates 360 Lexington Avenue with hospitality-style amenities
The New York boutique office building was bought for $65.5 million in 2024 and is now adding an amenity center plus a resolved ventilation-related odor issue.
AmTrustRE is rolling out renovations at 360 Lexington Avenue, aiming to make the boutique Manhattan office building more attractive for tenants looking for a stronger in-office experience. Commercial Observer reports the firm acquired the property in 2024 for $65.5 million and describes the overhaul as a complete reinvention to help the building stand out among its neighbors.
The exterior work includes replacing the facade, changing the sense of arrival with an underlit marquee that incorporates building identification, and swapping out older window frames for a more contemporary look. The renovated lobby is already bright and open, but AmTrustRE also addressed a ventilation problem tied to a mystery smell tenants had complained about.
Amenities are being built on the eighth floor, with tenants set to gain access to a hospitality-inspired amenity center. The space will include a lounge, a pantry, a bar, and a conference room with seating for more than 20 people, while a small gym remains under construction, according to the report.
In an interview with Commercial Observer, AmTrustRE President Jonathan Bennett said the firm focused on more than just adding conference rooms, using an analogy that the “box” around a product should also feel special. He also said the company redesigned the lobby and amenities to create a more “warm” and home-like environment for occupants.
