Atlas VMS buys CloseClear.ai to add continuous disaster-risk monitoring

The acquisition is Atlas VMS’s second platform purchase after its 2025 AIM-Port deal, and it plans to integrate disaster monitoring into AIM-Port for lenders.

Atlas VMS acquired CloseClear.ai to expand its mortgage technology platform with continuous disaster-risk monitoring, aiming to help lenders track changing GSE repurchase risks during the life of a loan.

The company said CloseClear.ai monitors active loans against live federal disaster data using ZIP and county level matching, with map-level precision where available and aligned with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines.

Atlas said the risk of disaster exposure can change after the appraisal process, a gap it previously noted was typically only identified at closing, and it plans to address that with ongoing monitoring and automated action.

CloseClear.ai will remain a standalone product for existing customers, while Atlas plans to integrate its monitoring capabilities into AIM-Port as a premium offering, with a first expansion focused on property-level flood zone determinations.
