Inland buys two Illinois senior living communities as senior living push grows

The acquisitions bring Inland past $1B in senior living purchases, with Deer Park Village at 92% occupancy and The Landings at 95% at closing.

Inland Real Estate Acquisitions has closed the purchase of two senior living communities in Illinois, Deer Park Village in Deer Park and The Landings in Batavia, as part of an accelerated acquisition strategy, according to Bisnow.

Deer Park Village was 92% occupied at closing, while The Landings was 95% occupied. Inland said the opportunities were attractive because each property offers the full continuum of care.

The deal was completed by an Inland affiliate, with Mark Cosenza and Brett Smith handling the transaction. Inland said it has now surpassed $1B in senior living acquisitions, and its portfolio includes more than 3,100 units across over 20 communities.

Bisnow also noted several other Chicago-area real estate transactions, including a joint venture led by Eastham Capital and Bender Cos. buying a 220-unit multifamily property in St. Charles and DPI Retail acquiring a grocery-anchored regional shopping center in Glenview for an undisclosed price.
