Kohl’s sells a 92,726-square-foot Florida property for $53.5 million
Baptist Health South Florida acquired the site at 6950 North State Road 7, and Kohl’s plans to lease it back through mid-November before closing operations.
Kohl’s has sold a commercial building in Coconut Creek, Florida for $53.5 million, according to a property deed reviewed by Commercial Observer.
Baptist Health South Florida purchased the property at 6950 North State Road 7. The building covers 92,726 square feet, and it last changed hands in 2008 for $14.75 million, according to Broward County property records.
Kohl’s said it will lease the property back through mid-November, with the final day of operations set for Nov. 14. The company added that associates can transfer to nearby Kohl’s locations or receive transition support.
Commercial Observer reports Baptist Health is a nonprofit based in Coral Gables, and it is expanding north. Its hospital in the Fort Lauderdale suburb of Sunrise is set to open in 2029, while the outlet says Baptist Health had not responded to a request for more information about plans for the 8.2-acre site.
