Jason Finch becomes president of Fischer Homes in leadership restructure

The change splits the president and chief operating officer roles, with Jay Smith continuing as COO since 2023.

Fischer Homes has named 13-year executive Jason Finch as its president, reorganizing leadership by separating the president and chief operating officer roles, according to HousingWire.

Finch, previously South Region president, will oversee homebuilding strategy and operations across the company’s 11 markets. Jay Smith will remain chief operating officer, a position he has held since 2023.

The company said the new structure is intended to improve alignment, operational consistency, and long-term growth as Fischer Homes continues to expand. Finch joined Fischer Homes in 2013 and has held roles in sales, division operations, and regional leadership, most recently focusing on performance and leadership development across multiple markets.

Fischer Homes operates in 11 markets across seven states, and the company said it has built more than 40,000 new homes since 1980 in markets including Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, and Ohio. CEO Tim McMahon described Finch as a leader who can turn strategy into results while developing strong teams.
