Aon names Jane Drummond global chief commercial officer in 2027
Drummond will succeed Anne Corona, who was named CEO of North America in March 2026.
Aon has appointed Jane Drummond as its global chief commercial officer, effective January 1, 2027, with the new role reporting to Andy Marcell, deputy CEO and senior executive vice president for risk capital and human capital. The appointment also places Drummond on Aon’s Executive Committee, based in Chicago, according to Insurance Business.
Drummond succeeds Anne Corona, who was named CEO of North America for Aon in March 2026, after Corona’s earlier move into the North America leadership role created a global commercial officer vacancy. Drummond joined Aon in 2009 and currently serves as chief commercial officer for Asia-Pacific, working with sales leaders and country CEOs on new business development and strategic client relationships.
In the global role, Drummond will lead Aon’s Global Growth Committee, which is designed to align commercial priorities across the firm’s global operations by coordinating regional go-to-market strategies with solution lines in risk capital and human capital. The committee brings together regional and solution-line chief commercial officers along with leaders from sales enablement, marketing, and bid and proposal management.
Insurance Business notes the move reflects a common challenge for global brokerages, namely providing consistent, integrated service to multinational clients across regions while still allowing country teams enough flexibility to respond to local market conditions. Marcell said Drummond’s global perspective and track record made her the right choice, citing her experience with large multinational accounts and leadership of the Aon Global Client Network across Asia.
