Hunt Sports to develop mixed-use district at Toyota Stadium in Frisco

The first phase includes an about 290-room boutique hotel and 25,000-plus square feet of meeting space that can be converted into a 3,000-person music hall.

Hunt Sports Development will partner with Peak Curated Development and Venu Holding Corp. to build a sports and entertainment mixed-use district on the east side of Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center in Frisco, alongside FC Dallas.

The development is planned to include a boutique hotel, restaurants, and a convention center, designed to complement a separate more than 1 million square feet office complex planned for the west side of the stadium. In a statement, FC Dallas President Dan Hunt said Toyota Stadium has been the campus anchor and that adding hospitality, dining, and live entertainment will support it as a year-round destination.

The first phase is expected to feature an approximately 290-room hotel and more than 40,000 square feet of convention, meeting, and event space. The convention and event center will provide more than 25,000 square feet of dedicated meeting space, including a ballroom, with flexibility to be converted into a 3,000-person music hall.

The deal sheet also noted other real estate transactions, including The Bascom Group’s acquisition of the 370-unit Jasmine Apartments in North Dallas, Lincoln Property Co. and PGIM’s purchase of two outpatient medical buildings totaling 103,000 square feet, and Speed Bay Warehouse Solutions’ acquisition of three shallow bay industrial properties totaling nearly 596,000 square feet across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Orlando, Florida.
