Fred Hutch completes $18M buy of former DaVita office in Federal Way
The 87,617-square-foot building sits on a 10.3-acre site with 632 parking spaces, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center has completed its purchase of an $18 million former DaVita office building in Federal Way, Washington, ConnectCRE reported, citing the Puget Sound Business Journal.
The property spans 87,617 square feet and is located at 32275 32nd Ave. S., with the 10.3-acre site including 632 parking spaces.
ConnectCRE said Realty Income sold the building after acquiring it from Weyerhaeuser for $19.8 million in 2012, and Lee & Associates represented Realty Income in the transaction through John Bauder, Harrison Laird, Alex Muir, and Stuart Williams.
The acquisition is described as part of Fred Hutch’s regional expansion, including a 2024 purchase of a lab building at 1165 Eastlake Ave. E. for $149 million from Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc., plus a joint venture with ARE for a 70% interest in the Lake Union Steam Plant and Earl Davie Building.
