AZP awards Gateless Smart Underwrite its Platinum AI certification

HousingWire reports that AZP Insurance Specialists awarded Gateless Smart Underwrite its Platinum designation under AZP’s AI Mortgage Technology Certification, described as the highest of four certification levels.
The outlet says AZP based the framework on governance and auditability, along with controls, operational maturity, and risk management for AI and advanced underwriting technology providers.
HousingWire adds that the evaluation cited performance across 230,000 loans with no reported claims, and that the certification framework includes a pathway for separately underwritten insurance-backed protection for certain representation and warranty risks, including covered repurchase losses.
