Hong Kong plans National Day flag-raising ceremony for Oct. 1
Hong Kong will mark the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China on October 1 with a series of events for locals and visitors, according to a South China Morning Post roundup.
The program includes a flag-raising ceremony at 8:00 a.m. at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai, attended by officials and community leaders.
The ceremony will be followed by a fly-past and a sea parade by disciplined services, and there will be no public viewing area set up, the outlet reported.
