Oil prices rise after U.S.-Iran tensions drive a volatile pullback
Brent for November delivery was up 1.7% to $106.09 per barrel, while WTI for the same session gained 0.9% to $93.29.
Oil rebounded after a recent slide tied to fears of U.S.-Iran escalation, as diplomacy attempts produced mixed signals, according to OilPrice.
In early trading Monday, Brent crude for November delivery rose 1.70% to $106.09 per barrel at 4:30 p.m. ET.
WTI for the corresponding contract climbed 0.95% to $93.29 per barrel during the same period.
OilPrice also noted that speeches by leaders on both sides included threats as well as belligerent language, adding to the market volatility.
