Oil rises as Trump rejects Iran peace proposal

Brent was around $107.2 a barrel, while WTI was near $94.1, with WTI also pressured by reports of a possible temporary diesel ban.

Crude oil prices jumped at the start of the week after President Trump rejected a peace deal proposal presented by Iran at the UN General Assembly, OilPrice reports.

At the time of writing, Brent crude was trading around $107.2 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate was near $94.1 per barrel.

OilPrice also pointed to pressure on WTI tied to news that the U.S. federal government may institute a temporary ban on diesel, which could force refiners to adjust operations.
