Genentech starts $750M expansion of Oregon manufacturing campus
The project will add about 211,000 square feet, with commercial operations planned for 2031 and roughly 250 manufacturing jobs.
ConnectCRE reports that Genentech, a subsidiary of Swiss drugmaker Roche Group, has broken ground on a $750 million expansion of its manufacturing facility in Hillsboro, Oregon.
The expansion is part of plans announced in August to increase capacity for advanced drug delivery devices and strengthen United States manufacturing capabilities.
Construction has started on a 211,000-square-foot addition that is set to double the size of the existing Hillsboro site, according to ConnectCRE.
Commercial operations are planned to begin in 2031, and the company expects the expansion to create approximately 250 manufacturing jobs.
