Nvidia and AMD chiefs join Tsinghua advisory board
The appointments add Nvidia founder Jensen Huang and AMD chief Lisa Su, along with a third member, to Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management board.
Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang and AMD chief Lisa Su have joined an influential advisory board at Tsinghua University, placing the two US AI chip leaders in a senior forum linked to China. South China Morning Post reports the move was announced by the university’s School of Economics and Management via its official social media account.
The school said Huang and Su were among three new members appointed to the advisory board. Huang was described in the posting as the founder of Nvidia, while Su’s leadership was credited with transforming AMD into a high-performance computing firm.
In addition to Huang and Su, the third new appointee named in the announcement was Marc Pictet, a senior managing partner at Swiss wealth and assets manager Pictet Group. The Tsinghua school positioned the board as one that connects global executives with senior Chinese officials.
