Ascot appoints Mark “Sarge” Pepper president, global underwriting
Pepper’s new role starts October 1, and he will coordinate underwriting and growth work across Ascot’s UK, U.S. and Bermuda businesses.
Ascot Group Limited, a global specialty (re)insurance company, appointed Mark “Sarge” Pepper as president, global underwriting, effective October 1, according to Insurance Journal.
In the expanded position, Pepper will lead efforts to elevate Ascot’s underwriting capabilities and will work closely with Jonathan Zaffino, Ascot’s group chief executive officer and president, as well as Ascot’s segment CEOs to develop growth strategies, pursue business development opportunities, and strengthen coordination across the company’s UK, U.S. and Bermuda operations.
The Insurance Journal said Ascot is also reorganizing leadership around two focus areas. Elizabeth Johnson has been appointed president, specialty insurance and reinsurance, effective October 1, with responsibility for a newly created division.
