Better founder Vishal Garg seeks to replace five directors
Garg says shareholders have provided written consents backing his plan, with an Oct. 2 deadline to submit them.
HousingWire reports that Vishal Garg, founder of Better Home & Finance, says he has more than half of shareholders on written consent to overturn his August ouster, reclaim a senior leadership role, and change the company’s board.
Garg’s consent solicitation would remove five directors, including interim CEO Daniel Lewis, along with Harit Talwar, Arnaud Massenet, Bhaskar Menon, and Prabhu Narasimhan, according to HousingWire.
HousingWire also reports that Garg’s campaign targets Oct. 2 as the date to submit written consents, after previously pushing deadlines from Sept. 8 to Sept. 18.
A Better spokesperson declined to comment when reached by HousingWire, and Lewis did not immediately respond to a request for comment, the outlet said.
