Mainland social media ads keep promoting unlicensed services in Hong Kong
The South China Morning Post found a listing for photography at Hong Kong Disneyland charging 220 yuan per hour, plus about 120 yuan in travel costs.
Hong Kong’s crackdown on visitors who abuse visas to sell unlicensed services has not stopped similar marketing from appearing on mainland social media ahead of National Day “golden week,” the South China Morning Post reported.
In a search of RedNote, the outlet said it found accounts describing themselves as Shenzhen-based photographers offering services in Hong Kong.
The report said many of the accounts also asked clients to reimburse travel expenses between the two cities, and one listing offered photography at Hong Kong Disneyland at 220 yuan per hour, with a minimum booking of two hours.
The post cited travel costs of about 120 yuan, in addition to the hourly fee, according to the listing it reviewed.
