Morningstar to relocate global HQ to Chicago’s Thompson Center

The Chicago-based firm plans to occupy more than 275,000 square feet and move in late 2028, co-anchoring the building with Google.

Chicago-based financial services firm Morningstar, Inc. announced plans to relocate its global headquarters to the Thompson Center and occupy more than 275,000 square feet, according to ConnectCRE.

Morningstar said it will move into the building late 2028 and will co-anchor the site with Google, with the address listed as 171 N. LaSalle Street.

ConnectCRE also reported that Morningstar was represented by Stacy Osmond of DLA Piper, while CBRE handled the transaction through Jon Milonas, Peter Livaditis, and Haley Maxwell.

The outlet described the Thompson Center as a major Chicago revitalization effort that is adapting an iconic landmark into a modern workplace.
