Better board plans changes after consent vote exceeds 50%

Better’s consent solicitation drew more than 50% of company votes, which would remove five directors if the results are confirmed by a third-party inspector.

Better Home and Finance Holding Co. founder Vishal Garg said the company’s board intends to carry out actions sought by shareholders once a third-party election inspector confirms results from a consent solicitation led by Garg’s group, according to HousingWire.

Garg said the consent solicitation has more than 50% support, and that an election inspector is reviewing the submitted votes.

The release cited by HousingWire said the consent solicitation would remove five Better directors, including interim CEO Daniel Lewis, Harit Talwar, Arnaud Massenet, Bhaskar Menon, and Prabhu Narasimhan, if the board and leadership changes are confirmed. A Better spokesperson declined to comment when reached by HousingWire.
