Greenland Mines completes 2026 Skaergaard field program
The company said 4,480 meters of diamond drilling produced the first large diameter HQ core recovered at the Skaergaard project for metallurgical variability and process development.
Greenland Mines said it has completed the 2026 field program at its Skaergaard project in southeast Greenland, with work focused on evaluating potential vanadium bearing titanomagnetite, iron, and gallium value streams alongside its existing palladium, platinum, and gold development plans, according to Mining.com.
The company said the program delivered physical material and geoscientific data that it will use to move Skaergaard beyond resource definition, including metallurgical flowsheet development, mine and infrastructure planning, environmental studies, and preparation of an Initial Assessment, described as the S-K 1300 equivalent of a preliminary economic assessment.
Greenland Mines added that 4,480 meters of diamond drilling generated the first large diameter HQ core recovered at Skaergaard for metallurgical variability and process development.
It also said no economic credit is currently assigned to the potential by products, while noting gallium occurs throughout the project’s mineralized horizons.
