Massachusetts awards $330M for housing and local development projects

The state says the funding is expected to unlock about $24.6 billion in private investment.

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey announced $330 million for 403 local economic development and housing projects across 207 communities through the Community One Stop for Growth program, according to ConnectCRE.

The awards are intended to support more than 27,000 new homes, more than 13,000 permanent jobs, and more than seven million square feet of new commercial development, the outlet said.

ConnectCRE also reported that the funding round is the largest in the program’s history, and the state expects the effort to unlock an estimated $24.6 billion in private investment.
