Asian gold producers move to refine more gold domestically
OilPrice says the traditional global flow of gold, where emerging-market mines exported raw material and value was captured later by London and New York, is starting to change.
According to a report cited by OilPrice from Nikkei Asia, countries across Asia are taking steps to capture more of the value from the gold boom by refining gold domestically rather than exporting it for processing elsewhere.
