Bitcoin hovered around $86,000 as US benchmarks hit new records, with the S&P 500 at 7,835 points and up 24% since March 30.
Bitcoin was trading near $86,000 on Tuesday as it attempted to rebound toward $87,000 after another failed push higher on Monday, according to Cointelegraph.
Cointelegraph said BTC/USD was being weighed by overhead sell liquidity while US stock markets broke out to new all-time highs, with the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Nasdaq Composite reaching 7,835, 31,312, and 27,683 points, respectively.
Cointelegraph also cited The Kobeissi Letter, which noted that the S&P 500 has added 24%, or $71.3 trillion, in value since March 30.
