Earnnest appoints Russell Smith as CEO, Altizer to vice chairman
The company said it has processed 1 million transactions worth $4 billion since 2019, with no recorded homebuyer fraud.
HousingWire reports that digital real estate payments platform Earnnest named Russell Smith as its chief executive officer, with Rick Altizer moving to vice chairman of the board.
The outlet said Altizer succeeds after seven and a half years leading the Greenville, South Carolina-based firm.
Earnnest also said Smith joined the company in fall 2020 and has served as president and chief operating officer for the past four years, working alongside Altizer as the firm expanded.
According to the announcement, Earnnest processed 1 million transactions totaling $4 billion since 2019 and reported zero recorded homebuyer fraud, and the leadership transition is intended to support its next expansion phase as it scales its earnest money platform and adds new digital payment types.
