Clarion Partners names a former Prologis executive to lead power strategy
The appointment follows Clarion’s launch of a new power-focused business line, with the executive based in the firm’s Dallas office.
Clarion Partners has launched a new power-focused business line and tapped Magesh Srinivasan to lead its energy strategy, according to Bisnow.
Srinivasan joins Clarion as senior vice president for power and energy strategy after spending the last four years at Prologis as its global head of energy markets.
Clarion said Srinivasan will be responsible for building a portfolio-wide view of power availability and infrastructure constraints, and for establishing power and energy management as a core strategic capability for the firm, Bisnow reported.
Dayton Conklin, head of Clarion’s industrial platform, said the hire reflects Clarion’s effort to incorporate power considerations into its investment, development, and portfolio strategy as power availability becomes more important for industrial real estate.
