SIOR to hold fall event in New York Oct. 19 to 22

ConnectCRE said SIOR will feature industry discussions around interest rates, geopolitics, supply-chain disruptions, and changing workplace expectations.

Commercial real estate is facing a widening set of challenges, including interest rates, geopolitics, supply-chain disruptions, technology shifts, and evolving workplace expectations, issues ConnectCRE highlighted ahead of a Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS, or SIOR, gathering.

ConnectCRE said SIOR’s fall event is scheduled for New York from Oct. 19 to 22 and will bring together CRE professionals from around the world as the group marks its 85th anniversary.

According to ConnectCRE, incoming global president and Cushman and Wakefield senior director Aaron Barnard said succeeding in the current environment depends partly on what he called “relationship intelligence,” a key part of serving as a trusted advisor.

The outlet said the topics discussed at the event will focus on how industry professionals should adapt as those pressures continue to reshape commercial real estate.
