Paul Chung joins SJP Properties as head of acquisitions

The hire comes as SJP targets growth across New York and New Jersey, including Class A office, industrial, and residential assets.

Paul Chung has left Quinlan Development Group to become head of acquisitions at SJP Properties, a New York and New Jersey-based management and development firm, according to Commercial Observer.

At SJP, Chung will help build out the company’s Class A office, industrial, and residential portfolio across the two states. SJP founder and CEO Steve Pozycki said Chung’s experience in acquisitions and capital market initiatives will support the firm’s effort to pursue new development and opportunities.

Before joining SJP, Chung held the same head of acquisitions role at Quinlan for more than a year. Commercial Observer reports that at Quinlan he managed $1.2 billion in total capitalization, helped close up to $500 million in equity and debt transactions, and handled due diligence for acquisitions.

The article also notes SJP has developed and acquired more than 30 million square feet of real estate, and completed $6.5 billion in transactions since it was founded in 1981. Prior to Quinlan, Chung worked at Solomon Builders, and earlier at Wildflower and Resource Real Estate, where he started in 2014.
