Maybern renews lease to nearly triple space at 10 Astor Place
The fintech will expand from 11,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet on the full third floor and entire fourth floor under a lease lasting more than 10 years.
Maybern, a financial technology company focused on fund management solutions for private markets, signed a long-term lease renewal at 10 Astor Place that will nearly triple its office footprint, Commercial Observer reports. The company will expand from 11,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet within the GFP Real Estate-owned building.
Under the deal, Maybern will renew its space across the building’s entire third floor and add the entire fourth floor. GFP said the lease runs for more than 10 years, though it did not disclose the asking rent.
Maybern moved into 10 Astor Place in 2024, taking the initial 11,000 square feet after outgrowing its prior SoHo office space. Neith Stone of GFP represented the landlord, and Newmark represented the parties including Rob Silver, Anthony Sciacca, and Brittany Silver, Commercial Observer noted.
The property, built in 1876 by architect Griffith Thomas, is a seven-story, 156,000-square-foot office building located four blocks east of Washington Square Park. Nearby rent context was provided by Colliers, with asking rent for office space in nearby Tribeca averaging $83.18 per square foot in the second quarter.
