Ether-led crypto ETPs rebound with $600M net inflows in July

Global crypto exchange-traded products returned to net inflows in July, with ether-native products pulling $350M, about double bitcoin-native inflows of $176M.

Global crypto exchange-traded products posted a net $600 million in July, their first positive month since April, according to 21Shares in a monthly flows report published Aug. 10 and using Bloomberg data.

Ether-native products accounted for $350 million of the inflows, roughly twice the $176 million that went into bitcoin-native products. XRP products added $34 million, Solana products $13 million, and basket products $7 million, based on the report’s five largest underlyings by assets under management.

The month ended a short, heavy period of redemptions. The Bloomberg-sourced series cited by The Defiant shows $2.5 billion leaving crypto ETPs and ETFs in May and $4.4 billion leaving in June, after $2.9 billion of inflows in April.

21Shares said turnover in July totaled $133.3 billion, with bitcoin still dominating at 78.5% share, while Ethereum accounted for 11.1%. The outlet also notes that 21Shares analyst Matt Mena attributed the flow turn to July price action, writing that bitcoin ended the month up about 8% and ether up 19%, even as broader U.S. indexes fell.
