Augmont Enterprises shares surge after IPO despite weak market sentiment
On Monday, Augmont shares were up nearly 37% from the issue price based on the ₹290 grey market premium, even as the Sensex and Nifty 50 were down as much as 0.70%.
Augmont Enterprises shares began trading with a premium on the NSE on 31 August, listing at ₹961, up 21.95% from the IPO issue price of ₹788. The stock also debuted on the BSE at ₹956, up 21.32% versus the issue price, according to LiveMint Markets.
After the initial listing, the shares extended gains, rising to ₹1,019.80 on the NSE and ₹1,019 on the BSE, which equals about 29.4% above the issue price. At the same time, Indian market benchmarks, the Sensex and Nifty 50, fell by up to 0.70% in the morning session, reflecting weaker broader sentiment.
LiveMint Markets also noted that the IPO grey market premium on Monday morning was ₹290, indicating a potential listing level around ₹1,078, or nearly 37% above the issue price. The outlet said the company is an integrated gold and silver platform operating across 24 states as of 31 March 2026, spanning segments from procurement and refining to digital gold and gold-backed financial services.
For the IPO, Augmont’s offer priced at ₹788 per share, with the issue concluding on 25 August after opening on 21 August. The book build involved a fresh issue of 79 lakh shares aggregating to ₹620 crore and an offer for sale of 26 lakh shares aggregating to ₹205 crore, for nearly 106 times overall subscription, the outlet reported.
