Bijin Omakase signs 15-year lease for Long Island City hibachi space

The deal covers 5,077 square feet at the ground level of Trio, a 34-unit residential building at 27-19 Thomson Avenue.

Bijin Omakase has signed a 15-year lease for a 5,077-square-foot hibachi restaurant space in Long Island City, Queens, according to Commercial Observer, citing landlord and tenant broker RTL.

The restaurant will occupy the ground-floor space at Trio, a nine-story, 34-unit residential development owned by ZD Jasper Realty, located at 27-19 Thomson Avenue near where the thoroughfare meets Jackson Avenue.

RTL said its Eli Gold represented the tenant alongside Michael Shkreli and noted that RTL identified the fit before the space reached the broader marketplace, touring it the day after it was shared internally and reaching a fully executed lease five weeks later.

Gold added that the concept’s specific physical requirements narrowed the pool of viable locations, and the building’s ground-floor layout met those needs, with the property also listed under an alternative address of 27-22 44th Drive.
