Real estate attorney Marco Caffuzzi joins Latham & Watkins in New York

Commercial Observer reports that real estate attorney Marco Caffuzzi has left Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom after a 30-year tenure to join Latham & Watkins as a partner in the firm’s New York real estate practice.

The outlet says Caffuzzi’s work spans representation for lenders, borrowers, landlords, and tenants, and that he has spent 12 years representing Silverstein Properties through the redevelopment of the World Trade Center.

Commercial Observer also cites Caffuzzi’s role in representing Silverstein Properties on American Express’ nearly 2 million-square-foot transaction at 2 World Trade Center.

The article says Caffuzzi changed offices in May and that the firm transition was part of his continued adjustment to New York’s dealmaking landscape, as he discussed in an interview in early September.
