Xi signals confidence in China’s growth in National Day address
Xi told viewers China is confident in the future of its “Chinese-style modernisation,” while calling for economic resilience and stability.
Chinese President Xi Jinping projected confidence about China’s ability to overcome challenges in his annual National Day address, delivered at a state reception in Beijing marking the 77th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China’s founding, according to reporting by SCMP Economy.
In the speech, Xi emphasized economic resilience and stability, describing a determination to stick to China’s growth trajectory despite a complex global environment, the outlet said.
Xi also framed the country’s outlook in upbeat terms, saying he was proud of China’s achievements and confident in the bright future of “Chinese-style modernisation,” a line SCMP Economy attributes to state news agency Xinhua.
