Christie's sells rare Yongzheng bowl for $2.05 million
The sale marked the top porcelain result, after bidding briefly stalled during the auction near Rockefeller Center.
Christie's sold a rare Yongzheng bowl for US$2.05 million at its Chinese sale in New York, following a period where bidding momentarily stalled, according to SCMP Economy.
The outlet said the bowl was highlighted in Christie’s sale catalogue and online advertising, and bidding resumed before the auction produced a realized price of US$2.05 million.
SCMP Economy also noted that the US$2.05 million result was the top porcelain outcome for the sale.
