April Housing refinances 13 Florida apartment communities for $366.1M
The refinancing was arranged by Berkadia through Fannie Mae financing on behalf of the Blackstone portfolio company.
April Housing, an owner and preserver of affordable housing, has locked in a $366.1 million refinancing for 13 apartment communities in Florida, according to ConnectCRE.
Berkadia’s Tim Leonhard secured the financing through Fannie Mae on behalf of April Housing, which is a Blackstone portfolio company.
The portfolio consists of garden-style multifamily properties in Miami, Jacksonville, and Tampa, and the deal is intended to advance the preservation and ongoing operation of affordable housing within the portfolio.
ConnectCRE also said that since 2024, April Housing has completed the preservation of more than 3,650 affordable homes nationwide, including more than 700 in Florida over the last year.
