Strategy reports $21 billion paper gain in Q3 2026
The company bought 334 bitcoins for $28.7 million and said it held 848,000 BTC as of October 4, 2026.
Bitcoin Magazine reports that Strategy, the Nasdaq listed firm, posted paper gains of $21 billion in Q3 2026, attributing the result to a rise in the price of bitcoin. The outlet adds that founder and chairman Michael Saylor said the company returned to profit on the strength of its digital asset holdings.
The report also says Strategy spent $28.7 million to buy 334 bitcoins last week, citing a Monday filing. It notes Strategy stock rose nearly 2% earlier in New York trading before dipping slightly afterward.
Bitcoin Magazine further states that bitcoin gained more than 40% in the third quarter of this year, described as its best three months in years. The outlet adds that Strategy reported holding 848,000 BTC and $5.7 billion in USD assets as of 10/4/26.
The publication concludes that Strategy said it acquired 334 BTC and repurchased $176 million of STRC, as part of its recent activity.
