Bayer to invest $2.2 billion in New Albany, Ohio manufacturing site
ConnectCRE reports the project follows more than $7 billion in prior R&D and manufacturing spend over the past five years.
Bayer plans to invest $2.2 billion in a new pharmaceutical manufacturing site in New Albany, Ohio, according to ConnectCRE.
The outlet says the investment builds on more than $7 billion in pharmaceutical research and development and manufacturing spend over the past five years.
ConnectCRE reports the state-of-the-art facility is intended to support patients in the United States and globally, as part of Bayer’s longer-term growth strategy.
ConnectCRE also notes Bayer CEO Bill Anderson said the company has viewed the United States as a key manufacturing base and innovation hub, and that the new site is meant to strengthen its ability to deliver innovative, high-quality medicines.
