Compass faces proposed class action over Anywhere merger statements

The lead plaintiff deadline for the proposed class action filed by Robbins LLP is December 7.

Robbins LLP has filed a proposed class action against Compass tied to Compass's acquisition of Anywhere, according to HousingWire.

The complaint is brought on behalf of former Anywhere shareholders who exchanged Anywhere securities for Compass, Inc. common stock as part of the merger, HousingWire reported.

HousingWire says the suit challenges merger-related statements, including claims that Compass and Anywhere would use reasonable best efforts to obtain regulatory authorizations and consents, and that they would do all things necessary under applicable law, including antitrust laws, to complete the deal.

HousingWire also reports the lead plaintiff deadline is December 7.
