Oil holds gains on the week as metals and gas cool
Crude stays elevated, but gold, silver, and natural gas all finish lower.
Energy prices remain active. WTI crude falls 0.8% to 78.96, while Brent slips 0.1% to 84.86. Even after the pullback, WTI is up 9.5% on the week and Brent is up 11.2%.
Gasoline is a major outlier, falling 5.6% to 3.1159 after a strong recent run. Nat gas drops 1.0% to 2.896, and the contract remains below its 200-day average.
Precious metals give back ground. Gold falls 1.6% to 3980.6001, silver drops 2.2% to 55.835, and GLD falls 2.0% to 364.96. Copper is flat at 6.2935.
Agriculture is firmer. Corn rises 3.6% to 463.5, wheat slips 0.5% to 674.25, and soybeans fall 0.7% to 1193.75. Coffee and cocoa both fall sharply, down 6.1% and 5.2%, respectively.
