Crypto sells off as the market cap shrinks

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and most major tokens fall, with the total crypto market cap down 1.5%.

Crypto finishes lower across the board. Bitcoin falls 1.4% to $63,784.3203, Ethereum drops 2.9% to $1,861.4, Solana loses 2.7% to 75.22, and XRP slides 2.3% to 1.0871.

The total crypto market cap declines 1.5% to $2.3T. Bitcoin dominance stands at 56.3%, and Ethereum dominance is 9.9%.

Several major tokens are still above their 50-day averages, but most remain below their 200-day lines. Bitcoin is below its 200-day average, as are Ethereum, Solana, XRP, BNB, and Dogecoin.

The day’s move is broader than one coin. None of the major names in the data posts a gain, and the group moves in step with a weaker Nasdaq and a firmer VIX.
